The Underwood International College of Yonsei University invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy to teach at the International campus in Songdo, Incheon, located within the greater Seoul metropolitan region. Those who specialize in the history of Western philosophy are especially encouraged to apply. The Australian Research Council funded project aims to apply contemporary philosophy of language to the interpretation of written constitutions, particularly Australia's.
Candidates for the Postdoctoral Fellowship should have completed a doctorate in philosophy, with a specialisation in philosophy of language, at the time of appointment. Candidates with a doctorate in law specialising in constitutional theory or legal philosophy will also be considered. A record of published research is desirable.

Qualification and skills
PhD degree in Philosophy and substantial publications in reputable Philosophy journals are required. Candidates with a Master’s degree qualification in Philosophy will be considered for the post of Lecturer. Teaching experience, especially at the university level, will be an added advantage. Preference would be given to candidates whose areas of specialization are History of Philosophy, Applied Ethics, and Metaphysics. The successful candidate will commence duty in 10 September 2011.

· Demonstrated ability to attract research funding would be an added advantage;
· Teaching experience especially at the university level is essential;
· Preference would be given to candidates who could also teach courses in core and Applied Philosophy;
· He/she must have attained the rank of Professor before submitting his/her application;
· He /she must be of good conduct

Three full-time, continuing (Lev B) positions at La Trobe University in the School of Communication, Arts and Critical Enquiry (Philosophy).
The department of Philosophy in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to make three new level B appointments to begin in February 2012. Philosophy recently received a national ranking of 4 out of 5 in the government conducted ERA exercise, making it one of the best-performing research institutions in the discipline in Australia.
The areas of specialisation for these positions is open, but preference may be given to candidates with expertise in the following areas: epistemology, logic, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, philosophy of language, metaphysics, moral philosophy, and the history of philosophy.
